Getting started#

Every add-on works the same way: install it once from the Google Workspace Marketplace, open it from the Extensions menu in any Google Sheet, and work from the sidebar on the right.

Install an add-on#

  1. Open the add-on's page on this site (for example ParseSheet AI) and click Install from the Marketplace.
  2. Sign in with the Google account you use for Sheets and click Install.
  3. Google shows the permissions the add-on needs. Review them and click Allow. Each permission is explained in the add-on's guide under Permissions.

Using Google Workspace at work? Your admin may need to allow the add-on first. Send them the add-on's Marketplace link, or install it for the whole domain from the Admin console.

Open it in a sheet#

  1. Open any Google Sheet (or create one at sheets.new).
  2. Click Extensions → add-on name → Open.
  3. The sidebar opens on the right. The card at the top shows your credit balance and plan.

Your first run#

Each add-on has a quick way to see it work:

Add-on Try this first
ParseSheet AI Load demo invoice, then Select PDF invoices with one real invoice
BankStmt AI Select statement PDFs with one month's statement
ContractSentinel Insert tracker template (adds a sample row)
TimeSheet Sync Add one client rate card, then Scan calendar for this month
LocaleSheet AI Pick a short text column and one target language
SlideSync Studio Pick a KPI range and a template with {{placeholders}}, then Check template

Free credits#

AI features use credits. New accounts get free credits the first time they run a paid action, with no card needed. See Billing & credits for what each action costs and how plans work.

Reviewing results#

Add-ons never hide uncertainty. When a check fails, the cell is shaded orange and carries a note that says why (hover over the cell to read it). Rows that need a look get Needs review in the Review Status column. Change it to Verified once you've checked, or Ignored to leave it out of exports.

Getting help#

  • Each add-on guide has a Troubleshooting section.
  • Error messages include a short reference code. Include it when you email support so we can find what happened.
